A well-marked low-pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal. Within the next 24 hours, it is expected to move northward and further intensify into a depression. Due to its impact, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall across the state. A rainfall alert has been issued for the next five days. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the monsoon will likely touch Odisha within the next two days. The conditions remain favorable for the arrival of the monsoon.
