ପୁଣି ଖୋଲିଲା ହୀରାକୁଦ ଜଳଭଣ୍ଡାରର ୪ଟି ଫାଟକ
Four more sluice gates of Hirakud reservoir have been opened. Earlier, water was being released through 8 gates, and now, water is being discharged through 12 gates. Due to increased rainfall in the upstream catchment area, the dam authorities took this decision. Meanwhile, one gate of Kalo Dam under Kaptipada block of Mayurbhanj district has also been opened as water level rises. On the other hand, flood situations have been reported — medium-scale in Subarnarekha and small-scale in Baitarani rivers, said Chief Engineer of Water Resources Department, Chandrasekhar Padhee.
ପୁଣି ଖୋଲିଲା ହୀରାକୁଦ ଜଳଭଣ୍ଡାରର ୪ଟି ଫାଟକ। ପୂର୍ବରୁ ୮ଟି ଫାଟକ ଦେଇ ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ ନିଷ୍କାସନ ଜାରି ରହିଥିବା ବେଳେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ୧୨ଟି ଫାଟକ ଦେଇ ଜାରି ରହିଛି ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ ନିଷ୍କାସନ। ଉପରେ ମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ବର୍ଷା ଫଳରେ ଜଳସ୍ତର ବଢିବାରୁ ଏପରି ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନେଇଛନ୍ତି ଡ୍ୟାମ୍ କର୍ତ୍ତୃପକ୍ଷ। ସେପଟେ ମୟୁରଭଞ୍ଜ ଜିଲ୍ଲା କପ୍ତିପଦା ବ୍ଲକ ଅଧୀନରେ ଥିବା କାଳ ଡ୍ୟାମ୍ରେ ଜଳସ୍ତର ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇବାରେ ଲାଗିଥିବାରୁ ଖୋଲାଯାଇଛି ଗୋଟିଏ ଫାଟକ । ଅନ୍ୟପଟେ ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣରେଖାରେ ଛୋଟରୁ ମଧ୍ୟମ ଓ ବୈତରଣୀରେ ଛୋଟ ଧରଣରେ ବନ୍ୟା ହୋଇଛି ବୋଲି ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି ଜଳ ସମ୍ପଦ ବିଭାଗ ସର୍ବୋଚ୍ଚ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଶେଖର ପାଢ଼ୀ ।
