ଆଜି ହେଉଛି 'ବିଜୟ ଦିବସ'

Today is Vijay Diwas — a golden chapter in history. Vijay Diwas is a symbol of India’s bravery, sacrifice, and military excellence. On this day, a war was fought between India and Pakistan, in which India gave a decisive and befitting reply to Pakistan. On December 16, 1971, around 93,000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered to the Indian Army and the Mukti Bahini. This war was also historic for Bangladesh, as the outcome led to the birth of a new nation — Bangladesh. This victory was not merely a geopolitical success, but also a triumph of human values, freedom, and justice. In this historic war, the Indian Armed Forces demonstrated exceptional strategy along with modern weaponry. Thousands of Indian soldiers made the supreme sacrifice for the nation. Thus, this day once again reminds us of India’s glorious and proud history.
