ପରଲୋକରେ କାହ୍ନୁଚରଣ ଲେଙ୍କା
Veteran Congress leader Kahnu Charan Lenka passed away at the age of 86. He had been undergoing treatment in the hospital for the past few days due to illness. Born in 1939, Kahnu Charan joined the Congress party in 1957. He served as a Rajya Sabha member from 1988 to 1994. He also held the position of Minister of State in the Railway and Agriculture departments in the Central Government. In the 1995 Assembly elections, he was elected from Choudwar. His demise has cast a shadow of grief over the political fraternity.
୮୬ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସରେ ଆଖି ବୁଜିଛନ୍ତି କଂଗ୍ରେସର ପୁରୁଖା ନେତା କାହ୍ନୁଚରଣ ଲେଙ୍କା। ଅସୁସ୍ଥତା ଯୋଗୁଁ କିଛି ଦିନ ଧରି ସେ ହାସପାତାଳରେ ହେଉଥିଲେ ଚିକିତ୍ସିତ। ୧୯୩୯ ମସିହାରେ ଜନ୍ମଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିବା କାହ୍ନୁଚରଣ ୧୯୫୭ରେ ସାମିଲ ହୋଇଥିଲେ କଂଗ୍ରେସରେ । ୧୯୮୮ରୁ ୧୯୯୪ ପର୍ୟ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେ ଥିଲେ ରାଜ୍ୟସଭା ସଦସ୍ୟ । ଏହାସହ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ସରକାରରେ ରେଳ ଓ କୃଷି ବିଭାଗରେ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଥିଲେ। ୧୯୯୫ ବିଧାନସଭା ନିର୍ବାଚନରେ ଚୌଦ୍ୱାରରୁ ନିର୍ବାଚିତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ କାହ୍ନୁଚରଣ । ତାଙ୍କ ବିୟୋଗରେ ରାଜନୈତିକ ମହଲରେ ଖେଳିଯାଇଛି ଶୋକର ଛାୟା ।
