Odisha has become increasingly insecure under the governance of Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, with a steep and continuous rise in criminal incidents. Alarming news of murder, rape, harassment of women, and misconduct is surfacing daily, sparking serious public concern. In a shocking incident at FM College, Balasore, a second-year Integrated B.Ed. student committed suicide after allegedly being harassed by a professor. This incident triggered intense political turmoil in the state. Since then, a series of disturbing events have surfaced, raising strong questions about women’s safety in Odisha. Just seven days later, in Balanga, Puri, three miscreants attempted to set a minor girl on fire using kerosene. She is now in critical condition, receiving treatment at AIIMS, New Delhi. Shockingly, no arrests have been made in the case so far. In another deeply worrying case, a residential school student was found to be pregnant, further intensifying the concern for girls’ safety in state-run institutions. In Jagatsinghpur, the gang rape of an 18-year-old girl was reported. While walking through a field with a friend, she was allegedly abducted and assaulted by three youths. Her father lodged a complaint, and she has been hospitalized in serious condition. The accused remain absconding. At Swami Arupananda College in Jagatsinghpur, a professor was accused of sexual harassment. Following the complaint, Principal Ramesh Sahu and Mathematics lecturer Shashwat Mahanti have been suspended. The District Collector has promised strict action. In Malkangiri, a minor girl was allegedly raped after she went to a friend's house for a birthday celebration and did not return. Later that night, locals found her in a suspicious condition with a truck driver on the Malkangiri–Jeypore highway. Police rescued her after being alerted, and her family has filed a complaint at Adarsh Police Station. It is noteworthy that Mohan Majhi himself heads the Home Department. In Jajpur, a minor female hockey player was reportedly raped by her own coach. Following a written complaint from her family, Jajpur Town Police swiftly detained the coach and began questioning. In Puri, three minor sisters were allegedly molested and robbed while returning from tuition. A group of youths harassed them and snatched their money and gold chain. Their brother lodged a complaint with the police. These recurring incidents have not only shocked the public conscience but also raised serious doubts about the effectiveness of the BJP-led state government. The lack of swift and strict action against perpetrators has become a major issue of concern. The public now demands to know: When will this government act decisively to ensure justice and security?
ମୋହନ ମାଝୀ ସରକାରରେ ଅସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ହୋଇପଡିଛି ଓଡ଼ିଶା । ଦିନକୁ ଦିନ ଲମ୍ବିଚାଲିଛି ଅପରାଧର ଫର୍ଦ୍ଦ । ପ୍ରତିଦିନ ସାମ୍ନାକୁ ଆସୁଛି ହତ୍ୟା, ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମ, ନାରୀ ନିର୍ଯାତନା ଏବଂ ଅସଦାଚରଣ ଭଳି ଖବର ।ଯାହା ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ପାଇଁ ବଡ ଚିନ୍ତାର କାରଣ।ବାଲେଶ୍ୱର ଏଫଏମ କଲେଜରେ ଅଧ୍ୟାପକଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ନିର୍ଯାତିତ ହୋଇ ଶେଷରେ ଆତ୍ମହତ୍ୟା କରିଥିଲେ ଇଣ୍ଟିଗ୍ରେଟେଡ ବିଏଡ୍ ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ବର୍ଷର ଜଣେ ଛାତ୍ରୀ।ଏହି ଘଟଣାକୁ ନେଇ ମଧ୍ୟ ରାଜ୍ୟ ରାଜନୀତିରେ ଦେଖାଦେଇଥିଲା ଉତ୍ତେଜନା । ଏହି ଘଟଣା ପରେ ସାମ୍ନାକୁ ଆସିଛି ଗୋଟିଏ ପରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଘଟଣା, ଯାହା ନାରୀ ସୁରକ୍ଷାକୁ ନେଇ ସୃଷ୍ଠି କରିଛି ପ୍ରଶ୍ନବାଚୀ । ଏହି ଘଟଣାର ୭ ଦିନ ପରେ ପୁରୀ ବଳଙ୍ଗାରେ ଜଣେ ନାବାଳିକାକୁ କିରୋସିନ ପକାଇ ଜାଳିବାକୁ ଉଦ୍ୟମ କରିଥିଲେ ୩ ଜଣ ଦୁର୍ବୃତ୍ତ । ଏବେ ଗୁରୁତର ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ଦିଲ୍ଲୀ ଏମ୍ସରେ ଚିକିତ୍ସିତ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ଉକ୍ତ ନାବାଳିକା । ହେଲେ ଏଯାଏଁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଅପରାଧୀଙ୍କ ଟେର ବି ପାଉନି ପୁଲିସ । ସେପଟେ ଚିନ୍ତା ବଢ଼ାଉଛି ଆବାସିକା ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରେ ଛାତ୍ରୀ ଗର୍ଭବତୀ ଖବର ।
ସେହିପରି ଜଗତସିଂହପୁରରୁ ଆସିଛି ୧୮ ବର୍ଷୀୟ ଛାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ଗଣଦୁସ୍କର୍ମ ଅଭିଯୋଗ । ବାନ୍ଧବୀଙ୍କ ସହ ଆସୁଥିବା ବେଳେ ବିଲକୁ ଟେକିନେଇ ତିନିଜଣ ଯୁବକ ଗଣଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମ କରିଥିବା ଥାନାରେ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରିଛନ୍ତି ପିଡ଼ୀତାଙ୍କ ବାପା । ଗୁରୁତର ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ଛାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ଜଗତସିଂହପୁର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଚିକିତ୍ସାଳୟରେ କରାଯାଇଛି ଭର୍ତ୍ତି ।ଫେରାର ହୋଇଯାଇଛନ୍ତି ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତ।
ଜଗତସିଂହପୁର ସ୍ବାମୀ ଅରୁପାନନ୍ଦ କଲେଜର ଜଣେ ଅଧ୍ୟାପକଙ୍କ ବିରୋଧରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଆସିଛି ଯୌନ ନିର୍ଯାତନା ଅଭିଯୋଗ। ଘଟଣାରେ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ରମେଶ ସାହୁ,ଗଣିତ ଅଧ୍ୟାପକ ଶାଶ୍ଵତ ମହାନ୍ତି ଚାକିରିରୁ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି ନିଲମ୍ବିତ । ଛାତ୍ରୀ ନିର୍ଯାତନା ଘଟଣାରେ କଡ଼ା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ।
ପୁଣି ମାଲକାନଗିରିରୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆସିଛି ଜଣେ ନାବାଳିକାକୁ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ଖବର। ମାଲକାନଗିରି ସଦର ଥାନା ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ନାବାଳିକା ଜଣକ ରବିବାର ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟାରେ ନିଜ ସାଙ୍ଗର ଜନ୍ମ ଦିନ ପାଳନ ପାଇଁ ଯାଇଥିଲେ ତାଙ୍କ ଘରକୁ । କିନ୍ତୁ ବିଳମ୍ଵିତ ରାତି ଯାଏ ନ ଫେରିବାରୁ ଖୋଜାଖୋଜି କରିଥିଲେ ପରିବାର ଲୋକେ। ବିଳମ୍ଵିତ ରାତିରେ ମାଲକାନଗିରି – ଜୟପୁର ରାସ୍ତାକୁ ସଂଯୋଗ କରୁଥିବା ମୁଖ୍ୟ ରାସ୍ତାର ବିଜାଘାଟିରେ ଉକ୍ତ ନାବାଳିକା ଓ ଜଣେ ଟ୍ରକ ଚାଳକକୁ ସନ୍ଦେହଜନକ ସ୍ଥିତିରେ ଦେଖିଥିଲେ କିଛି ଲୋକେ। ଖବର ଦେବା ପରେ ସେଠାରେ ପହଞ୍ଚି ନାବାଳିକାକୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିଥିଲେ ପୋଲିସ ।ଏନେଇ ମାଲକାନଗିରି ଆଦର୍ଶ ଥାନାରେ ଲିଖିତ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରିଛନ୍ତି ନାବାଳିକାଙ୍କ ପରିବାର।ଉଲେଖଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଯେ ଗୃହ ବିଭାଗ ଦାୟିତ୍ୱରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି ନିଜେ ମୋହନ ମାଝୀ l
ସେପଟେ ଯାଜପୁରରେ ଜଣେ ନାବାଳିକା ହକି ଖେଳାଳିଙ୍କୁ ତାଙ୍କ ନିଜ କୋଚ୍ ଅସଦାଚରଣ ଏବଂ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମ କରିଥିବା ଭଳି ଏକ ସାଂଘାତିକ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ସାମ୍ନାକୁ ଆସିଛି । ପୀଡ଼ିତାଙ୍କ ପରିବାର ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଥାନାରେ ଲିଖିତ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ପରେ ଯାଜପୁର ଟାଉନ ପୁଲିସ ତୁରନ୍ତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତ ହକି କୋଚଙ୍କୁ ଉଠାଇ ନେଇ କରିଛି ପଚରାଉଚରା ।
ସେହିପରି ପୁରୀରେ ୩ ନାବାଳିକା ଭଉଣୀଙ୍କୁ ହୋଇଛି ଅସଦାଚରଣ । ୩ ଜଣ ନାବାଳିକା ଟିଉସନ ସାରି କଣ୍ଠପୁର ଗାଁକୁ ଫେରୁଥିବା ବେଳେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଟଣାଓଟରା କରିଥିଲେ କିଛି ଯୁବକ । ସେମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଛଡାଇ ନେଇଥିଲେ ନଗଦ ଟଙ୍କା ଓ ସୁନା ଚେନ। ପୋଲିସ ନିକଟରେ ଏନେଇ ନାବାଳିକାଙ୍କ ଭାଇ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଅଭିଯୋଗ । ଏପରି ଅଘଟଣକୁ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଭାବାବେଗକୁ ଆଘାତ କରିବା ସହ ବିଜେପି ସରକାରଙ୍କ ପାରିବା ପଣିଆ ଉପରେ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଛି ପ୍ରଶ୍ନବାଚୀ । ବାକି ରହିଲା କେବେ ଅପରାଧୀଙ୍କ ବିରୋଧରେ କଡ଼ା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରୁଛନ୍ତି ସରକାର ।
