From February 20, all government construction works across the state will come to a standstill. Services related to electricity, drinking water, and sewerage will be affected. Around 70,000 contractors and three major contractor associations will unite in protest. If their eight-point demands are not fulfilled by the 18th, they will begin an agitation from the 20th. The joint forum of the Odisha Contractors’ Federation issued this warning at a press conference in Bhubaneswar.
