Salaries of all employees of Mahanga block in Cuttack district have been stopped for not attending the office even after cancellation of leave. On the 26th, due to flood risk, an emergency was declared, and all employees were instructed to stay in the block office. However, the employees did not remain present in the block. During a public hearing, it was found that biometric attendance scanners were not implemented, as instructed by the District Collector. Due to these violations, action has been taken. As per the Collector's recommendation, the District Development Officer has ordered to stop the salaries of all employees.
